Plan ahead for Veteran’s Day Events in Phoenix
This coming Tuesday, mark your calendar’s for these events that honor the memory of all military Veterans who have served our nation:
_The Veterans Day Gourd Dance & Community Potluck takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Pueblo Grande Museum. Gourd dancing begins at 11:30 a.m. Bring your favorite potluck food item to share. Call 602-495-0901 or visit www.pueblogrande.com.
_The VA Veterans Day Parade starts at 11 a.m., at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical, 16th Street and Indian School Road. This year, it features 100 entries, including historic military vehicles, Veterans Service Organizations, marching units, color guards, equestrian units and bands.
_In Scottsdale, a Veteran’s Day event takes place at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. Dignitary presentations and live performances are planned for this free event, which starts at 3 p.m. Call 480-312-2312 or visit www.therailroadpark.com.
_A Gathering of Legends and Veterans Day Open House takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Mesa at the Commemorative Air Force Aviation Museum. Military aviation veterans, including the Tuskegee Airmen, Women Airforce Service Pilots, Fighter and Bomber Crews, Aces and other will share their experiences. Cost: $3-10.
