The B5Media network:

Reminder: SalsaFest this weekend

I had every hope to attend this but will be heading elsewhere, instead. But I want to make sure you’re aware of this upcoming event. It’s relatively new to Arizona–This is only its second year. I think it will make a wonderful way for you to spend your weekend with family or friends.

Even if you can only drive down to Safford for the day–it’s a three-hour drive southeast of Phoenix–I think you’d hMaxine&Janeave a great time visiting the farming, ranching and mining communities–not to mention tasting some of the best Mexican food in Arizona.

The SalsaFest is merely icing on the cake, in my opinion. But I love this area of the state, and, yes, I am biased. Of course, I’ve been all over Arizona and can’t think of any part of this state where I haven’t found something unique, interesting and fun to enjoy. Call me lucky. I can live with that.

If you go, post a comment. Let me know what you thought. And if you’re lucky, you’ll get a chance to meet Maxine & Jane (pictured above)–the two ladies who run the San Simone Chile Company. Don’t let ‘em talk you into trying the jalapeño pepper with the orange flesh inside. That’s one hot chile–hot enough to make you sweat, your eyes burn, your throat shrink, and turn your face beet red.

But you know, they say chile peppers are good for you.

I’m guessing SalsaFests are, too!
